Website Company Profile Content Checklist: What to Prepare Before You Start

Published November 6, 2026 3 min read

Building a company profile website is easier when the basic materials are ready. You do not need polished marketing copy at the outset. Brief notes about your business, a list of services, and clear photos are enough to begin planning the pages.

This checklist separates essential information from material you can add later.

1. Business identity and introduction

Write down the business name you want to display, what you do, the areas you serve, and one or two sentences explaining your work. Include a sharp version of your logo if you have one. If you do not have a tagline, choose clarity over a grand claim that says little about the business.

Add the registered company name, address, and legal details only when they are relevant and suitable for publication. Check spelling and official information before the site goes live.

2. Main services or products

List the services or product categories you actually offer today. For each one, answer three questions: what do you provide, who usually needs it, and how can a potential customer start a conversation?

If a quote depends on size, quantity, or location, explain those factors. A request-a-quote button can work without a fixed price. Avoid listing services you are not ready to deliver merely to make the list look longer.

3. Photos and work samples

Choose photos of your workplace, team, products, or process that belong to your business and may be published. Give each file a recognizable name and a short caption. Relevant real photos can explain your work better than attractive stock images that show something else.

For each portfolio item, record the project type, your role, and the outcome you are allowed to describe. Ask permission before displaying a customer's name or logo. If there are no projects you can show yet, you can postpone the portfolio section. Avoid testimonials and achievement figures you cannot verify.

4. Contact channels

Decide which WhatsApp number, email address, and service hours your team actively monitors. Choose the main action you want visitors to take: ask a question, request a quote, schedule a consultation, or browse a catalog. Buttons and forms should support that action.

Test the journey on a phone before launch. Check the destination number, the suggested opening message, and who will respond. If you use a form, agree on who receives and follows up each request.

5. Common questions

Collect questions customers often ask, such as where you work, how orders begin, estimated lead times, or which documents to send. Short answers can become an FAQ and help visitors understand the process before contacting you.

Review details that change often. Prices, stock, lead times, and service terms need updating when your business changes.

Start with the essentials

For an initial version, prioritize a business introduction, core services, a few publishable photos, and an active contact channel. Page structure and wording can be refined during design. Clear source material lets you and the website team discuss the real business instead of guessing what to say.

If you are planning a company profile website, bring an overview of your business and the materials you already have to the consultation. Missing items can be listed as next steps without inventing information.
